HUBUNGAN FAKTOR LINGKUNGAN KELUARGA DENGAN PEMBENTUKAN KARAKTER ANAK

Abstract
Latar belakang: manusia yang memiliki karakter baik adalah manusia yang bertumbuh sebagai individu yang cerdas, baik dan mampu bertanggungjawab atas pertumbuhan dirinya sendiri dan orang lain. Periode usia anak merupakan periode yang penting untuk membentuk karakter. Masa usia anak perlu dimanfaatkan sebaik-baiknya karena masa ini dapat sangat menentukan kualitas manusia dimasa depan. Keluarga berperan penting untuk membangun karakter anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan faktor lingkungan keluarga dengan pembentukan karakter anak. Subyek dan metode: penelitian berupa observasi analitik, desain korelasi dengan metode cross sectional. Subyek penelitian ini 58 anak kelas V SD Kristen Widya Wacana X Kartasura. Pengambilan sampel secara sampling jenuh. Analisa bivariat menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keluarga dengan lingkungan yang mendukung 89,7% dan anak dengan karakter baik 77,6%. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara faktor lingkungan keluarga dengan pembentukan karakter anak dengan p=0,028 (<0,05) dan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,288. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah ada hubungan positif faktor lingkungan keluarga dengan pembentukan karakter anak kelas V SD Kristen Widya Wacana X Kartasura dengan korelasi hubungan yang lemah.

Background: humans who have good character are humans who grow as individuals who are smart, good and able to be responsible for the growth of themselves and others. The period of child age is an important period for forming character. Children's age needs to be utilized as well as possible because this period can greatly determine the quality of human beings in the future. Family plays an important role in building children's character. The purpose of tis study was to determine the relationship between family environmental factors and the formation of children's character. Subject and method: research in the form of analytic observation, correlation design with cross sectional method. This research respondents were 58 children of fifth grade elementary School at Widya Wacana X Kartasura Christian Elementary School.Sampling by saturated sampling. Bivariate analysis using the Pearson Product Moment correlation test. The Result showed that Families with a supportive environment 89.7%, children with good character 77.6%. The results of the analysis of the relationship between family environmental factors and the formation of children's character obtained p = 0.028 (<0.05) so that Ha is accepted with a correlation coefficient value of 0.288. The conclusion of this study is there is a positive relationship between family environmental factors and the character formation of fifth grade children at Widya Wacana X Kartasura Christian Elementary School with a weak correlation.
