Abstract
Gagal ginjal kronis merupakan salah satu penyakit yang mengancam kelangsungan hidup. Terapi definitif untuk penyakit gagal ginjal belum ada selain dengan terapi pengganti ginjal, baik dengan dialisis maupun cangkok ginjal. Hemodialisa memberikan pengaruh terhadap keadaan fisik pasien seperti pruritus atau keluhan fisik yang lain. Disamping itu muncul permasalahan psikologis yaitu cemas, stres, perasaan kehilangan, ketakutan, hilangnya kepercayaan diri atau harga diri, perubahan identitas bahkan depresi. Dialisis dilakukan sepanjang hidup untuk mengatasi gejala tetapi tidak menyembuhkan gagal ginjal. Oleh karena itu diperlukan perawatan paliatif dan dukungan orang terdekat untuk mengurangi penderitaan dan memperbaiki kualitas hidup pasien. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis hubungan harga diri dengan kualitas hidup pasien gagal ginjal kronik yang menjalani hemodialisa di Renal Unit RUMAH SAKIT Dr. OEN KANDANGSAPI SOLO. Subyek penelitian ini adalah pasien gagal ginjal kronik yang menjalani hemodialisa di Renal Unit RUMAH SAKIT Dr. OEN KANDANGSAPI SOLO. Metode penelitian adalah analitik dengan desain korelasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara harga diri dengan kualitas hidup, nilai p= 0.000. Kesimpulan penelitian adalah harga diri secara signifikan berhubungan dengan kualitas hidup pasien gagal ginjal kronik yang menjalani hemodialisa.

Chronic kidney failure is a disease that threatens survival. There is no definitive therapy for kidney failure apart from kidney replacement therapy, either with dialysis or a kidney transplant. Hemodialysis affects the patient's physical condition such as pruritus or other physical complaints. Besides that, psychological problems arise, namely anxiety, stress, feelings of loss, fear, loss of self-confidence or self-esteem, changes in identity and even depression. Dialysis is carried out throughout life to manage symptoms but does not cure kidney failure. Therefore, palliative care and support from the closest people is needed to reduce suffering and improve the patient's quality of life. This research was aims to analyze the relationship between self-esteem and quality of life in chronic kidney failure patients undergoing hemodialysis at the Renal Unit of Dr. OEN KANDANGSAPI SOLO Hospital. The method of this research was analytic research with correlation design. The subjects of this study were chronic kidney failure patients undergoing hemodialysis at the Renal Unit of Dr. OEN KANDANGSAPI SOLO Hospital. The Results showed that there is a significant relationship between self-esteem and quality of life (p= 0.000). The conclusion was self-esteem is significantly related to the quality of life of chronic kidney failure patients undergoing hemodialysis,
