EDUKASI DAN PEMBERIAN TEH KULIT BUAH NAGA SEBAGAI UPAYA PENGURANGAN INFEKSI OPORTUNISTIK PADA PASIEN HIV/AIDS

Abstract
Pasien dengan Human Immunodeficiency Virus HIV atau Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome AIDS memiliki risiko tinggi mengalami infeksi oportunistik akibat penurunan fungsi sistem imun. Terapi antiretroviral ARV merupakan pengobatan utama namun kepatuhan terapi kemampuan mengelola stres dan dukungan nonfarmakologis masih menjadi tantangan pada tingkat komunitas. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman sikap dan perilaku kesehatan pasien HIV AIDS melalui edukasi kepatuhan terapi ARV penguatan koping stres serta pemanfaatan teh kulit buah naga sebagai terapi komplementer pendamping. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Yayasan Sahabat Sehat Mitra Sebaya YASEMA Kabupaten Sukoharjo dengan melibatkan 30 pasien HIV AIDS. Metode yang digunakan meliputi ceramah interaktif diskusi kelompok dan demonstrasi pembuatan serta penyajian teh kulit buah naga. Evaluasi dilakukan secara deskriptif menggunakan observasi partisipatif dan wawancara terstruktur. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan mayoritas peserta memiliki pemahaman baik terkait kepatuhan terapi ARV dan pencegahan infeksi oportunistik sebesar 70 persen kemampuan koping stres baik sebesar 66 koma 7 persen serta penerimaan positif terhadap terapi komplementer sebesar 63 koma 3 persen. Kegiatan ini menunjukkan pendekatan edukatif holistik berbasis komunitas berpotensi mendukung pencegahan infeksi oportunistik dan peningkatan kualitas hidup pasien HIV AIDS secara berkelanjutan melalui kolaborasi tenaga kesehatan komunitas dan peserta secara aktif terarah berkesinambungan dan kontekstual lokal yang relevan aman aplikatif beretika.

People living with Human Immunodeficiency Virus HIV or Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome AIDS face a high risk of opportunistic infections due to progressive immune system impairment. Antiretroviral therapy ART remains the primary treatment however adherence stress management and nonpharmacological support continue to present challenges at the community level. This community service program aimed to improve knowledge attitudes and health behaviors of people living with HIV AIDS through education on ART adherence strengthening stress coping strategies and introducing dragon fruit peel tea as a complementary supportive therapy. The activity was conducted at the Sahabat Sehat Mitra Sebaya Foundation YASEMA in Sukoharjo Regency and involved 30 HIV AIDS patients. Methods included interactive lectures group discussions and demonstrations on the preparation and serving of dragon fruit peel tea. Evaluation was performed descriptively using participatory observation and structured interviews. The results showed that most participants demonstrated good understanding of ART adherence and opportunistic infection prevention at 70 percent adequate stress coping at 66 point 7 percent and positive acceptance of complementary therapy at 63 point 3 percent. These findings indicate that a holistic community based educational approach can support opportunistic infection prevention and improve quality of life sustainably for participants and local health stakeholders.
