PEMBEKALAN MATERI PROFESI KEPERAWATAN KODE ETIK PERAWAT

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Perawat merupakan profesi yang memerlukan tanggungjawab sangat besar. Tugas seorang perawat juga sangat beresiko karena berkaitan langsung dengan nyawa pasien. Tanggung jawab perawat yang besar tersebut adalah kepada masyarakat, keluarga dan pasien. Saat ini profesi perawat masih menjadi alternatif pilihan bagi masyarakat sehingga perlu ada pembekalan tentang profesi perawat bagi para siswa-siswi yang akan menjadi calon perawat. Salah satu gambaran yang dapat dijelaskan adalah kode etik perawat. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan deskripsi yang jelas tentang profesi perawat melalui metode ceramah dan tanya jawab. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan pemahaman tentang profesi perawat dan kode etik perawat dari mayoritas kategori sedang meningkat menjadi mayoritas kategori tinggi sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembekalan materi tentang profesi keperawatan tentang kode etik perawat efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan, pemahaman dan mampu mendeskripsikan profesi perawat dengan baik.

ABSTRACT. Nurse is a profession that requires a very big responsibility. The job of a nurse is also very risky because it is directly related to the patient's life. The nurse's big responsibility is to the community, family and patient. Currently, the nursing profession is still an alternative choice for the community, so there is a need for training on the nursing profession for students who will become prospective nurses. One picture that can be explained is the code of ethics for nurses. This community service activity aims to provide a clear description of the nursing profession through lecture and question and answer methods. The results obtained were an increase in knowledge and understanding  about the nursing profession and the nurse's code of ethics from the majority in the moderate category to the majority in the high category so that it can be concluded that the provision of material about the nursing profession regarding the nurse's code of ethics is effective in increasing knowledge, understanding and being able to describe the nursing profession properly.
